Sri Lankan Multi-Star Quartz & Pink Tourmaline 14k Handcrafted Gemstone Pendant
Everybody knows we're crazy about star stones. This one might just be one of our favorite though. Star stones are created by micro-fine inclusions in the crystal matrix that break up light into a kinda holographic-ish star that travels across the surface of the stone. Sometimes, if you're lucky, those inclusions form so perfectly that (when cut by a talented gem carver), that star progresses indefinitely across the surface, repeating over and over again in response to a direct light source. We've captured the single stars pretty well in the photos, but you really need to check out the video to truly appreciate how magnificent this piece is! This piece has been simply set so that the stone is open on both sides, allowing you to fully appreciate just how magnificent the asterism (star effect) is!
